SYDNEY – Talks are underway between Bangladesh and Australia that could potentially pave the way for greater investment in the South Asian country's garment manufacturing sector.
Calling on Australian investors to explore investment opportunities available in Bangladesh's clothing and textile industries, Faruque Hassan, president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, has held discussions with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), and a range of potential industry investors in recent weeks.
