MILAN - The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has joined the Deforestation-Free Call to Action for Leather initiative which was launched by Textile Exchange and the Leather Working Group to promote sustainable practices in the leather industry.
WWF will work with brand signatories towards developing deforestation free supply chains by offering expert guidance, supporting collaboration and helping to set meaningful goals.
The Deforestation-Free Call to Action for Leather calls on brands and retailers to commit to sourcing all their bovine leather from deforestation-free supply chains by 2030 or earlier.
