LEICESTER - Garment workers, trade unions and workers' rights campaigners are due to stage a rally in Leicester today in protest at job losses and factory closures.
The rally, at the city's Spinney Hill Park, comes as local suppliers and garment workers report a significant drop in orders coming in from fashion brands.
Suppliers have warned that brands sourcing garments in the city are demanding price reductions, even on orders already made and delivered, which is making their businesses unviable.
