LUBBOCK - Textile Exchange has released the second draft of its plans for a single unified standard which includes the revelation that it will no longer include cotton growing.

Cotton farming would instead be covered in partnership with external standards bodies, only entering Textile Exchange's unified standard at the ginning stage.

The nonprofit is now planning to continue its Organic Content Standard (OCS) - one of those which were to be replaced - for organic cotton farming in parallel with the new system.
