LONDON - Waste charity WRAP has announced a new investment strategy to support smart tech and AI startups working to increase the circularity of plastics including synthetic textiles.
WRAP points out that an estimated 15% of all global plastic is used within textile manufacture – making it the third largest use of plastic after packaging and construction - and virtually none of this is currently recovered and recycled from textiles.
