Video: Inditex signs €70m deal with recycled polyester innovator

High street fashion giant Inditex, which owns brands including Zara and Bershka, has pledged €70 million over three years to buy a proprietary textile-to-textile recycled fibre from LA-based tech start-up Ambercycle.

The deal will, it is hoped, enable the materials innovator to ramp up its development and supply Inditex brands with Cycora fibre from 2025.

In this video, filmed at the Textile Exchange 2023 event in London, Ambercycle co-founder Shay Sethi explains what the company’s technology can do and how a partnership with a major industry player can change things – for the entire sector.
