MUMBAI – Indian viscose giant Birla Cellulose has confirmed that, following verification, its plant in Kharach, Gujarat, is now fully compliant with the emission limits set out in the European Union Best Available Techniques (EU-BAT) directive.

The accreditation follows the successful commissioning of a carbon-disulphide (CS2) adsorption plant recovery system which ensures that exhaust gases are compliant.
