AHMEDABAD – Retail giant Gap Inc and denim manufacturer Arvind Limited have launched a Global Water Innovation Centre for Action (GWICA), an expansion of their partnership that was set up to transform water management practices within the apparel manufacturing sector.
Originally launched in 2020, Arvind currently operates a sewage water treatment plant at its facility in Ahmedabad, in the western Indian state of Gujurat, that is able to save eight million litres of fresh water every day - or 2.5 billion litres per year.
