MASERU - A new $72 million project has been launched to protect the livelihoods of wool and mohair farmers in Lesotho who are struggling to deal with the impacts of climate change and other challenges.
The UN’s International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Kingdom of Lesotho agreed to launch the 'Wool and Mohair Value-chain Competitiveness Project' (WaMCoP) to support 225,000 rural people in the sub-Saharan African country.
