PRETORIA - The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA), in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), has officially launched a new project aimed at advancing the circular economy in Africa's textile and garment sector.
The five-year project, funded by the Global Environmental Fund (GEF), will work across a number of African countries including South Africa, Lesotho, Madagascar and Ethiopia, to address the sustainable management of chemical use and waste generated by the textile industry.
