SYDNEY – Science-driven textile manufacturer Intimiti Australia has launched what it claims is the world’s first certified compostable polyester.
Speaking to Ecotextile News at last week’s Premiere Vision in Paris, Helen Weng, global sales director, said the ultimate goal of the new polyester – branded as Celys – was to “make polyester as good as natural fibres for biodegradation in marine water, and we will continue to invest in this research.”
