LONDON – The Earthsight NGO has branded Better Cotton’s investigation into allegations linking its licensed farms with illegal deforestation in Brazil as “so flawed to be almost worthless”.
Earthsight recently released a report focused on two of Brazil’s biggest cotton producers – Horita Group and SLC Agrícola – which it said had been prosecuted for clearances of 100,000 hectares of wilderness in the Cerrado region.
