TOKYO – Japanese fibre manufacturer Teijin has developed a new polyester that claims to incorporate recycled material, breathability and UV-blocking technology for the first time.

Teijin’s fibres and products converting company, Teijin Frontier, says it developed the material to provide heat protection in increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change.
