CLERMONT–FERRAND – Biotech specialist Carbios and recycling and waste management firm FCC Environment UK are to conduct a feasibility study for a UK-based plant for Carbios’ PET biorecycling technology.
Under the terms of the ‘letter of intent’, the two firms will explore the options for the introduction of Carbios’s disruptive enzymatic depolymerisation technology, which enables the efficient and solvent-free recycling of PET plastic and textile waste into virgin-like products, in the UK market.
