In a letter to British MPs, a leading lawyer for Shein reveals how the company ensures there is no Chinese cotton in products destined for the US market

LONDON – Ultra fast fashion giant Shein, which was accused of behaviour “bordering on contempt” by refusing to answer questions from the UK’s influential Business and Trade Committee, has now provided written evidence to MPs.

In a lengthy letter to committee chairman Liam Byrne, Yinan Zhu, who is Shein's general counsel for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), revealed the company did not use Chinese cotton in products sold to US consumers.
