Circ’s patented ‘hydrothermal’ process uses water as a solvent

Chinese fibre giant Sanyou Chemical Fiber has signed a supply agreement with US-based textile-to-textile recycling innovator Circ to accelerate the scaling of recycled cellulosic fibres for the textiles sector.

Sanyou has committed to purchase pulp for a period of five years from Circ’s first commercial-scale facility which, located in in Saint-Avold in the northeast of France, is expected to be operational in 2028.
