Sparxell and Pangaia claim world’s first plastic-free, toxin-free and biodegradable reflective pigment is ready to scale

LONDON - Plant-based pigment specialist Sparxell and materials science company Pangaia claim they are ready to scale production of what is being billed as the world’s first plastic-free, toxin-free and fully biodegradable reflective pigment.

It is the result of the Innovate UK-funded Elucent project, which also involves the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), one of the UK’s leading independent research and technology organisations.
