Industry body has created a tool to create benchmarks for carbon emissions for factories and processes across the fashion and textile sector

SAN FRANCISCO - The Apparel Impact Institute (Aii) has been sharing more details about its proposal to create a carbon and energy benchmark for factories and processes across the fashion and textile industry supply chain.

Due for its first official release in January 2026, the tool is intended as a "living resource" that helps brands, investors and other stakeholders identify the best and worst performers in terms of their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
