YORK – The war in Iran and the wider Middle East looks set to deliver yet another significant cost and disruption shock for the global fashion and textile sectors, while also pushing supply chains in the wrong direction environmentally.

Analysts are already warning that any imminent global oil shock could spill over into broader macro‑economic weakness, meaning discretionary fashion demand in Europe and other major garment import markets may soften yet again.
