TOKYO – Adopted by brands including Burberry and Goldwin, Spiber has formally relaunched as a restructured entity following a near-fatal debt crisis that threatened its survival as a going concern.

The company – a rare Japanese “unicorn” valued at more than $1 billion — announced today that it had officially commenced operations under a new management structure, referred to as “New Spiber,” succeeding all businesses of the former Spiber Inc. – with the exception of certain US operations.
