Hela workers retained after restructuring

A total of 3,674 workers formerly employed by Hela Clothing and Foundation Garments have retained their jobs following their transfer to Emerald Clothing.

It comes after Hela Clothing and Foundation Garments, and also Hela Apparel Holdings, applied to Sri Lanka’s Commercial High Court for court-ordered winding up, citing sustained liquidity constraints.
