TE: Organic cotton market bounces back
Textile Exchange’s annual report into the global organic cotton market has noted a ten per cent rise in production from 2012/13 to 2013/14 following three years of decline, thanks largely to increased market demand as well as more collaborations between farmers and brands.

Commercial developments for ‘near-waterless’ washing
A manufacturing partner of polymer bead laundry company Xeros Technology Group, whose industrial washing machines reduce water usage in textile laundering, has opened a new facility in Jiangsu Province, China, a move said to support Xeros’ expansion of its patented technology.

Fashion sustainability seminars from FIT
A four-day series of lectures, discussions, site visits, and hands-on workshops focusing on sustainability and technology in fashion and textiles will be hosted by the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, in June.

Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is one of the largest sourcing events in North America to solely focus on fabrics and finished soft goods for all home applications.
Held annually in July alongside Texworld USA and the International Apparel Sourcing Show, the exposition provides manufacturers, retailers, buyers, and designers, a one-stop sourcing venue for new fabrics and products, as well as hosting a variety of seminars.
