LONDON — Online fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing (PLT) has debuted a new collection made using recycled materials, including pre-consumer factory offcuts and recycled polyester derived from discarded plastic bottles.
PrettyLittleThing has also followed in the footsteps of its sister brands Boohoo and Missguided in partnering with the reGAIN app to incentivise customers recycling their used apparel rather than sending it to landfill.
Having been one of the brands and retailers challenged by the Environmental Audit Committee for issues including alleged “illegally low wages” in its supply chain, PrettyLittleThing appears to have acknowledged a need to bring about a shift, no matter how slight, towards lowering its impacts - both social and environmental.
