PHNOM PENH - Hundreds of garment workers who have been put into quarantine in Cambodia after returning to the capital, Phnom Penh, after celebrating the Khmer New Year with their families, say they are running out of money.

The workers, who have been put into quarantine for 14 days without pay, say they are worried that they will soon not be able to pay for basic essentials such as food.

They were put into quarantine after returning from the provinces where they celebrated the public holiday in defiance of a government order for them not to travel because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
