COPENHAGEN - Technology company Higg Co has unveiled its proposed new Open Data Portal which it says will help fast-track apparel industry transparency, enabling consumers and third-parties to validate brands’ sustainability claims.

Amidst ongoing concern over the lack of visibility over global supply chains, the Open Data Portal - developed in partnership with the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) - is due to launch on the Higg platform in 2021.

It promises to offer open access to credible, comparable, and contextualised data behind the social and environmental sustainability claims about products by global brands, retailers, and manufacturers.
