TOKYO – Japanese fastening solutions provider YKK has outlined a new Sustainability Vision, which will guide efforts to overhaul its operational impact with the ambition of becoming climate neutral by 2050.  

Announced via the virtual Copenhagen Fashion Summit + (CFS+) event, the new strategic roadmap encompasses five themes which address carbon emissions, materials, water, chemicals and communities.  

“YKK is constantly pursuing the creation of a sustainable society through our business,” said Hiroaki Otani, president, YKK Corporation. “We will address the essence of sustainability through our businesses and products and will continue to take on challenges in order to remain a socially good company.”
