GAZIPUR – Swedish fashion chain Lindex has again partnered with WaterAid to expand its work providing clean water, sanitation and improved hygiene for garment workers, particularly women.

This time, the pair will focus on the Gazipur area of Dhaka, the Bangladeshi capital, which holds a large proportion of the country’s manufacturers – having previously found success supporting workers in the Mirpur area of the city.

“The project in Mirpur has changed the lives of so many women, not only through improved health but also by giving them new opportunities in life and hope for a better future. With this new project in Gazipur, even more women will get the same possibilities” said Anna Nilsdotter, CEO at WaterAid Sweden.
