ARLINGTON – The Better Buying Institute (BBI) says initial analysis of its Purchasing Practice Index 2021 highlights that the adoption of standardised CSR (corporate social responsibility) reporting could save suppliers thousands of dollars.

BBI, which works closely with the Social Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) to promote the value of audit harmonisation within the garment sector, believes such an approach could free up funds to improve working conditions and invest in new technologies.

Dr Marsha Dickson, co-founder of the Better Buying Institute, said: “These emerging insights reinforce the value of audit harmonisation, and of tracking its impact on suppliers and workers year on year.”
