JYVÄSKYLÄ – Fibre manufacturer Spinnova has linked up with fashion brand and fellow Finnish company Marimekko for a capsule collection which contains the first ever commercially available printed products made using the former's sustainable fibre.

The new capsule collection aims to combine Spinnova’s innovative proprietary technology with Marimekko’s printmaking to create timeless products in line with the principles of the circular economy.

Spinnova, which produces textile fibre out of wood or waste, including leather, textile and food, without the use of harmful chemicals, expects its first commercial-scale factory to be operational by the end of the year.
