TSURUOKA - Japanese biotechnology company Spiber has partnered with Japanese sports apparel manufacturer Goldwin to produce new garments containing its Brewed Protein fibres for outdoor brands The North Face and Woolrich. 

Spiber's Brewed Protein materials are made from plant-derived biomass, such as sugar cane and farm waste, using a proprietary fermentation process to produces polymers that can be transformed into a variety of forms, including textiles.
