NEW YORK - A new report from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) aims to set out a roadmap for sustainability and circularity in the global textile value chain.
It focuses on three priority areas which it says are key to driving forward progress - shifting consumption patterns, improving existing practices and investing in infrastructure.
UNEP says several initiatives have already set out ambitious goals to achieve the same ends but that "progress on their delivery is often slow due to the scale of the challenge".
