MUNICH – German textile manufacturer and retailer AIZOME has taken what it describes as the “unique” step of turning industrial wastewater from its dyeing operations into a facial skincare serum.
The cosmetic product has been devised, according to the company, not only to provide a use for an otherwise redundant product of the textile dyeing process but also to spark debate about the fashion industry’s environmental impacts.
