BRUSSELS - The apparel industry must take urgent action to reduce textile waste, address emissions gaps and reach the climate targets of the Paris Agreement, according to a new report.

The report 'T(h)reading a path: Towards textiles waste prevention targets', from anti-waste campaigners Zero Waste, says that the European Union has failed to set concrete prevention targets on textile waste, hindering progress towards a fashion industry "compatible with planetary boundaries".
