HAMBURG - The Cotton Made in Africa (CmiA) initiative has launched a project to remotely monitor sustainable cotton production by smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa from space by satellite.

CMiA is working with German geospatial cloud services specialist Geocledian and Tanzanian cotton ginning company Alliance Ginneries on the scheme which aims to help CmiA partners increase efficiency, productivity and sustainability.
