DHAKA - Garment workers in Bangladesh have expressed disappointment after factory owners proposed a new minimum wage of BDT 10,400 ($94) per month - less than half of the amount sought by unions.

A tripartite board was set up in March to review the minimum wage for garment workers - which has been BDT8,000 (US$75) a month since 2019.
