AMSTERDAM - Global brands and trade unions have agreed to extend the International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry for up to six years.

The agreement on workplace safety, which was launched in Bangladesh in September 2021 and extended to Pakistan this year, makes brands legally liable for the safety of the workers who make their clothes.
