QUEBEC — PETA has submitted a formal complaint to Canada's competition bureau alleging that two Textile Exchange standards, the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and the Responsible Animal Fiber (RAF) label, are misleading and deceive consumers.

The complaint from the animal rights organisation follows an expose on the down industry which it says reveals that filth, suffering and violent deaths are industry norms and can be found even on certified farms.
