BUSAN - Microplastics carrying toxins induce stress and lead to DNA damage and other health impacts in goldfish, according to a new study by researchers at the National Korea Maritime and Ocean University.

Synthetic textiles are one of the major causes of microplastic pollution in oceans and rivers which a host of studies suggest is prevalent globally however evidence of health impacts are less common.
