YANGON - Fashion giants including H&M, Zara owner Inditex and Bestseller have been linked to worsening conditions for garment workers in Myanmar following the military coup of February 2021.
New data, compiled by the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre (BHRRC), was published alongside testimony from workers revealing unsafe working conditions, gender-based violence and harassment, inhumane work rates, mandatory overtime, reduced wages and wage theft.
