LONDON - The Microfibre Consortium (TMC) has launched a new online course to help textile manufacturers reduce the release of microfibres into wastewater during production processes.
The course is made up of four modules, each based on the TMC's 2022 document, ‘Preliminary Guidelines: Control of Microfibres in Wastewater’. These include introduction to the Microfibre Consortium; introduction to fibre fragments in wastewater; process and guidance of direct discharge effluent treatment; and sampling and testing possibilities.
