GENEVA – The Better Cotton initiative is supporting efforts by the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and world football’s governing body FIFA to boost sustainable cotton production in West and Central Africa.
Better Cotton says it will focus on “sustainability mapping and assessments” in Mali and the Ivory Coast to study how it can intervene to benefit cotton farmers and strengthen supply chains in the region.
