AMSTERDAM - An estimated $1.5 billion of textile waste which is not fit for reuse but could be recycled is currently going to landfill or incineration in the US each year, claims a new report.

The study, which details the findings of Fashion for Good's Sorting for Circularity USA project, delves into consumer disposal behaviour, textile waste composition and the potential for fibre-to-fibre recycling.
