BRUSSELS - A project which aims to develop sustainable design, recycling and manufacturing solutions aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of the footwear sector has been shortlisted for a Life Award by the European Commission.
Coordinated by the Portuguese Footwear Technological Centre (CTCP), the Life Greenshoes4all project is testing new recycling approaches in the footwear value chain in a bid to reduce the amount of raw materials used and the amount of waste that is generated in shoe production.
