EU regulators need to rethink skin sensitiser proposals

Although it may sound alarmist to some in the textile industry, others think that it’s high time EU policymakers woke up to the fact their proposals to regulate chemicals used in skin sensitisers could hamstring fledgling attempts to develop the infrastructure needed to support a European circular textile sector.

It's not unusual for well-intentioned policymakers to compete amongst themselves with increasingly contradictory initiatives – it’s almost the very nature of politics these days – but various industries can often suffer as a result.
