AbTF launches new cotton transparency standard

The Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) is to launch a new certification standard that will reinforce its existing traceability and tracking systems for sustainable cotton currently produced under its existing Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) and Regenerative Cotton Standard (RCS) schemes.

The new ‘Transparency Standard’ is said to go a “step further” than AbTF’s existing tracking mechanisms, independently verifying cotton products from the farming and raw material stage through to the final product.
