More consultation on SBTi review of flagship standard

LONDON – The Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is seeking additional feedback on a review of its flagship Corporate Net-Zero Standard which is expected to confirm the extent to which it will allow carbon credits to offset scope 3 emissions.

Last year, the SBTi created controversy when it released a statement suggesting it was planning to extend the use of environmental attribute certificates (EACs), or carbon credits, for scope 3 – the global supply chain - where the majority of emissions occur.
