Aid by Trade launches carbon credits scheme

Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF), owners of the Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) standard, has launched a project to promote the use carbon credits in cotton production.

AbTF has partnered with the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) and compliance platform operator Bizpando on the scheme which will work to help African smallholder farmers improve soil quality, sequester CO₂ and create additional sources of income through both agricultural techniques and digital solutions.
