United Nations secretary-general warns that fast fashion is accelerating an environmental catastrophe

Speaking at an event to mark the upcoming International Day of Zero Waste on Sunday, Guterres said fast fashion was accelerating an environmental catastrophe, with the equivalent of one lorry’s worth of clothing incinerated or sent to landfill every second.
