Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative posts guidance on use of carbon credits to offset supply chain emissions

LONDON - The Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) has posted updated guidance on the corporate use of carbon credits to address scope 3 climate change targets.

The VCMI's 'Scope 3 Action Code of Practice' - intended as a best practice framework - says credits should be used in addition to - and not as a substitute for - direct decarbonisation of emissions.
