Leader of Industrial Workers Federation of Myanmar welcomes European brands’ concern over low wages – but calls for more support for workers

YANGON - Trade union leaders in Myanmar have welcomed a garment industry trade body's concern over low pay - but urges it to go further to support supply chain workers.

The EuroCham Myanmar Garment Advocacy Group, which represents European brands sourcing from Myanmar, expressed concern that wages in Myanmar had been frozen since 2018.
